I am an animator and video artist working with cartoon and pop cultural tropes and memory. My work manifests through playful collaboration and intuitive animation and recording techniques.
I am interested in how deliberately lo-fi media recognizes experience and memory which seems otherwise esoteric. As life and culture spiral farther along and into the ‘long tail’, popular media and media archaeology become a main point of interpersonal memory and yet move too fast to catch up to. As such, by pulling material from our and others pasts and using outdated file formats we can feel what we hadn’t the time for in hindsight.
My practice is primarily a collaboration with my best friend Harrison.
